Wildlands Adventure Park announces exciting new plans this summer

Wildlands, the family adventure park located in Moycullen on the outskirts of Galway, have announced a series of new activities this summer, promising an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages!

Nestled in over 20 acres of mature woodland overlooking Ballyquirke Lough, Wildlands offers a perfect mix of nature, adventure, and luxury, making it an ideal destination for a fun-filled family experience.

Building on the success of last year’s record-breaking visitor numbers, which exceeded 120,000, Wildlands is set to welcome even more guests this summer with a host of new attractions and developments!

A new retail store and food outlet will launch this July, the ‘Wildlands Shack’, featuring local crafts, toys, clothing and souvenirs, as well as a range of gourmet hot food to go options using local produce, gelato, hot drinks and other delicious home cooked food options.

Wildlands is also excited to collaborate with the renowned ‘Be My Bear’, in a first for Ireland where children can build their own eco-friendly teddy bear.  Children can choose from a range of 100% eco-friendly teddy options and then stuff their chosen ted with stuffing comprised of 100% recycled plastic - a perfect sustainable Wildlands keepsak for the little ones!

Visitors can also look forward to street performances by Mísc, a local traditional Irish band, as well as performances by fire jugglers and magicians throughout the season to provide the fun and entertainment - not to be missed!

Wildlands is expanding it's array of activities to ensure an unforgettable experience for all visitors. Experience the thrill of soaring above the treetops with the new Net Adventure Courses, featuring slides, tunnels, a Ball Games Zone for friendly competition, and the adrenaline-pumping Giant Swing, offering high-flying excitement for all ages.

Perfect for family sessions or extended tours, new tandem sit-on-top kayaks are available for sessions ranging from 1.5 to 3 hours, led by fully trained and qualified instructors. Explore the neighbouring Special Area of Conservation while paddling through Ballyquirke Lake, a tributary of the Corrib. Longer sessions will offer insights into the area's vast natural beauty, showcasing the majestic lakes of Moycullen, visitors are invited to rediscover the woodlands, reedbeds and local wildlife along the way such as birds, otters, mink, stoat, frogs, bats and more!

From energising morning sessions to serene sunset paddles, Stand-Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) is the latest activity on offer. Led by fully qualified instructors, visitors can explore the shoreline and venture a little deeper with this new and exciting activity.

If visitors want to extend their experience, Wildlands is the perfect stay location for families or friends.

The 14 open-plan log cabins offer a complete rustic feel with antique details, exposed rafters, and outdoor decking, making them ideal for enjoying long summer nights during the holiday season. The interiors of the cabins reflect the natural landscape, featuring muted colours like sage green and ochre, creating a cosy and comfortable retreat for guests to enjoy. Guests are also invited to start the day right and fuel the body for a day full of activities at the award-winning Olive Tree Kitchen Restaurant, as it expands its offerings with an exciting new breakfast menu.

Michael Ahern, General Manager of Wildlands said “We are very excited for the new activities coming to Wildlands this summer season. Our new retail store is going to be a great addition to Wildlands and the local street performers will keep everyone entertained this season. We hope this gives families and friends an experience to remember this summer”.
