I am of course talking about Clinton's crisps, farm grown crisps made just down the road from me in Skerries.
I was lucky enough to receive a press sample of this crisp range recently, delighted as I'd never had the chance to try them before. I'd noticed these guys making waves on Social Media etc and love to see Irish Companies flourish, so when I got to try these I was genuinely excited to see if they lived up to their reputation.
The first thing I noticed was the generous size of the packs (125g), more importantly though when you open the pack it's nearly full, no half measures here. One thing that annoys me about some other crisps brands is that their bags are rarely past half way full!
There's a nice flavour variation available, with Farmhouse Cheddar & Red Onion, Classic Sea Salt & Vinegar, and Flame Grilled. All made from specifically chosen potatoes from their farm, then cooked in rapeseed oil to make them a more natural, crunchier (and crispier) crisp! I put the Cheese & Onion straight to the test and let's just say the pack didn't last the whole day (or hour, or half hour, ah who's counting!)
These are genuinely delicious crisps, and they certainly pack a real crunch! Clinton's kindly packed in some earplugs with my package, so I could "tune into the crunch", this is a actually pretty cool idea, sit back, chill out and enjoy the crunchy munchiness.
All of their range are Gluten Free & Vegan Friendly, definitely worth picking up a pack to try on your next shopping trip to Tesco, SuperValu or other local stockists.
