Teeling Whiskey is releasing a special Distillery Exclusive bottling this St. Patrick’s Day, focusing on the unique impact Irish Virgin Oak has on their Small Batch Teeling Whiskey.
Traditionally, American or French Oak casks previously used in spirit or wine manufacturing are used in the aging of Irish whiskey. The use of Virgin Irish Oak for this special bottling creates a distinctively different rich cream and honey taste experience.
This release follows on from the unique range of earlier bottlings of Teeling Whiskey Distillery Exclusive, which have all focused on unique wood types including Chestnut Casks, Hungarian Virgin Oak and Chinkapin American White Oak. This is the 4th release in Teeling's Distillery Exclusive range which has been released to mark St. Patrick’s Day 2021. Like all previous releases, this is being sold exclusively through the Teeling Whiskey Distillery.
Jack Teeling, Founder and Managing Director of Teeling Whiskey commented: “St. Patrick’s Day normally marks the start of the traditional visitor season to Dublin and the Teeling Whiskey Distillery. Given the unique challenges of 2021 we wanted to do something that would allow people to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a very unique bottle of our Distillery Exclusive whiskey.
For our national holiday, we specifically chose Teeling Whiskey aged in Virgin Irish Oak barrels to celebrate all things Irish and the unique influence Irish Oak has imparted on our whiskey.”
The Teeling Whiskey Distillery Exclusive was bottled at 46% with no chill filtration, like all Teeling Whiskeys is now available to buy online through the Distillery web-shop and will be available to buy in the distillery when permitted to re-open at €60 per 70cl bottle in gift tin canister. There is also the option to personalise the label of this unique bottle of Irish whiskey whether for yourself or to give as a gift.
