Old Carrick Mill unveil Legends Whiskey - Steve Staunton, to mark USA ’94 World Cup's 30th Anniversary.

Old Carrick Mill Distillery have teamed up with Ireland’s Soccer Legend Steve Staunton to bring you a very special whiskey release on the 30th anniversary of the USA ’94 World Cup.

Old Carrick Mill have teamed up with Steve Staunton to capture the spirit of the ’94 World Cup and bottle it.

Bottled at 40% abv (70cl), the expertly blended Old Carrick Mill Legends whiskey has been carefully created by OCM Master Distiller and Blender Steven Murphy, and Steve Staunton. This high malt blend is re-casked in an Appleton Estate rum cask.

Notes: Opening classic Irish whiskey style, full bodied thanks to the American bourbon barrels, then thanks to this premium rum cask it bursts with tropical notes for a lasting finish.

To mark this special release, OCM are hosting an event on 1st June 2024, at their distillery in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan.

For the first 500 bottles of this special release, Old Carrick Mill are hosting a bottling experience where guests will get to fill their own bottle of Old Carrick Mill Legends Steve Staunton whiskey.

Guests will get to go through the whole bottling process of filling, corking and sealing their own bottle of the whiskey, meet the man of the hour Steve Staunton himself and have him sign their bottles.

This is a ticketed event. There will be only be 500 bottles available for the event and tickets are anticipated to sell fast.

There will be morning and afternoon time slots to ensure a more intimate gathering for guests. The morning slot will be 11am-1.30pm. The afternoon slot will be 2.30-6pm.

Each bottle will have it's own number and randomly chosen on the day. There will be tea/coffee and refreshments on arrival along with an on site shop.

The remaining 1500 bottles will be released for general sale on 2nd June 2024 from Old Carrick Mill and a selected number of outlets. All featuring Steve Staunton's signature.
