Mad March Hare, the award-winning Irish Poitín from Intrepid Spirits, has unveiled a new bottle design, embracing the resilience and Celtic character of the Irish hare. This iconic but endangered native has inhabited the Irish countryside since the last ice age, adapting and fighting to survive, much like poitín makers themselves.

Poitín took hundreds of years to finally become legalised, and since 1997 has gone from a dusty bottle found at the back of most Irish cupboards to a premium, highly awarded product that bartenders all over the world love to experiment with. An authentic, exciting, craft spirit, today Irish Poitín is accorded GI status and can only be made only on the island of Ireland. Mad March Hare uses only the finest, locally sourced malted barley and is triple distilled in small copper pot stills in West Cork.
