Kerry favourites to win Sam Maguire as David Clifford heavily backed for first goal scorer

Kerry remain slight favourites to lift Sam Maguire for a second year in a row, according to Ladbrokes.

The Kingdom will have to overcome fierce rivals, Dublin, in the All-Ireland final this Sunday and punters reckon Jack O’Connor’s side might just edge it at odds of 10/11, while the Dubs are at 6/5.

Some punters think the game will go down to the wire, with the bookies also experiencing support for the draw at 7/1

Unsurprisingly, fan favourite David Clifford is being heavily backed to wreak havoc for the Dubs’ defence with the Fossa man currently a 9/2 shot to be the first goal scorer while Dublin’s Con O’Callaghan is the next most popular pick at 15/2.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: "Excitement is really building for the highlight of the GAA calendar this Sunday as Kerry prepare to face off against Dublin for the Sam Maguire bragging rights. Fans are expecting a tight game and it may all come down to one moment of magic!"
