Looking for a weekend getaway that combines decadent dining with a relaxing stay? To celebrate the opening of its new all day dining destination, BoAnn Café & Bistro, named after the legendary goddess of the River Boyne, Trim Castle Hotel has launched a new overnight package, A Taste of BoAnn, available to book Thursday - Sunday from €215 for two people.

Accommodation is in a superior double room, designed in a sophisticated neutral palette and bathed in natural light from large windows, and featuring Voya toiletries in the bathroom. The package also includes a full Irish and continental breakfast the following morning.

The star of the show is a three-course evening meal at the newly-opened BoAnn Café & Bistro where the menu reflects the field-to-fork ethos of the hotel with a focus on produce from surrounding areas in Meath and Louth - everything served is handmade in the hotel’s kitchen.

Think starters like citrus cured salmon with caviar and avocado salsa or beef rump with broccoli purée, caramelised onions and red wine jus, and mains like seabream on a bed of baby potatoes with wilted spinach and white wine sauce or asparagus & pea risotto with crunchy pine nuts. A limited number of dishes, like pork belly with scallops and celeriac purée to start or mains including rack of lamb with roasted baby beetroot and a fillet of beef with chunky chips, are available at a supplement.

Desserts are created in-house by a team of four pastry chefs and include a deconstructed baked meringue and a decadent Crème Brûlée among others.
Complementing the food offering, BoAnn Café & Bistro serves an extensive wine list and cocktail menu including local specialities like the Slane & Ginger, made with Slane Irish Whiskey, ginger ale and fresh lime.

While you’re there, visit Trim Castle right beside the hotel, take in the sights of the historic, picturesque town, or take a stroll along the banks of the River Boyne. A Taste of BoAnn also includes access to Aura Leisure Centre, home to a 25- metre pool and a fully-equipped gym, located five minutes’ walk from the hotel.
