Creamy Chicken Pasta
Ingredients (serves 4):
• 1 jar of Heinz Tomato, Grana Padano & Mascarpone Pasta Sauce
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 1 knob of butter
• 3-4 chicken breasts (seasoned with salt, pepper and paprika)
• 3 shallots (chopped)
• 2 cloves garlic (crushed)
• 1 punnet mushrooms (sliced)
• 250g spaghetti
• 600ml water
• Grated parmesan (as much as you’d like!)
• Fresh parsley and basil
• Salt and pepper
Method:
1. Fry the chicken in some olive oil until fully cooked and remove from pan (approx. 5 minutes on each side)
2. Add a knob of butter and fry the onions, garlic, mushrooms and parsley until soft
3. Add pasta, water and Heinz Tomato, Grana Padano & Mascarpone Pasta Sauce
4. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally (add more water if it looks dry)
5. Once the pasta is cooked, add your parmesan, parsley, basil and season to taste
One Pan Lasagna
Ingredients (serves 5-6):
• 1 jar of Heinz Tomato Sauce for Bolognese
• 1/2 tbsp olive oil
• 1 knob of butter
• 2 shallots / 1 onion (chopped)
• 1 celery stick (chopped)
• 1 carrot (chopped)
• 450g 5% lean beef steak mince
• Oregano / Italian herbs
• 2 tbsp tomato purée
• Splash of red wine
• 600ml water
• 4-5 pasta sheets
• Handful of cheddar / mozzarella mix
• 1 mozzarella ball
• Fresh basil
• Salt and pepper
Method:
1. Fry the shallots, garlic, celery and carrot in olive oil and butter until soft
2. Add the beef mince, oregano, salt and pepper and fry on a high heat until the mince becomes brown
3. Add tomato purée and mix on a high heat until well combined
4. Add the red wine and allow it to cook off for a few minutes
5. Add the Heinz Tomato Sauce for Bolognese and water
6. (Optional) Simmer on low heat with closed lid for 30 minutes or more (the longer the better)
7. Add your pasta sheets into the sauce, making sure they’re all covered
8. Sprinkle on your cheese
9. Oven bake on 160 degrees fan for 30 minutes
