Child Paths Announces Inaugural "Giving Back Campaign – Recognition Awards" Ceremony

Child Paths, Ireland's leading provider of childcare management software, is thrilled to announce the culmination of its "Giving Back Campaign – Recognition Awards" ceremony, which will take place this Thursday, 9th November 2024, at the Iveagh Gardens Hotel in Dublin. This event will honour the exceptional individuals and early childhood education and care (ECEC) settings that have made outstanding contributions to the development and well-being of Ireland’s youngest learners.

Since January 2024, Child Paths has awarded €1,000 each month to one exemplary ECEC setting, recognising their commitment to quality early education and sharing the prize with their dedicated staff. Now, these 9 monthly finalists will come together for the grand finale, where they will compete for the overall prize of €10,000. The prizes to be awarded on the night include; first prize of €5,000, second prize of €3,000 and third prize of €2,000.

The Giving Back Campaign was launched to celebrate the unsung heroes of early childhood education, the educators and childcare providers who play a pivotal role in shaping young minds and fostering strong, supportive communities. These awards recognise their creativity, hard work, and dedication to high-quality care in their interactions with children and families.

“At Child Paths, we believe in celebrating the heroes who lay the foundation for our future, the dedicated early years educators,” said Ciaran Flynn, CEO of Child Paths. “These incredible individuals inspire, nurture, and shape the minds of our youngest learners. They play a pivotal role in children’s development and future success. Our initiative is more than just a thank-you; it’s a recognition of the hard work, creativity, and compassion that educators in high-quality ECEC settings bring to children every day."

The Giving Back Campaign reflects Child Paths' core mission to promote high-quality early childhood education by fostering meaningful relationships between children, their families, and educators. Through this initiative, Child Paths aims to highlight the internationally accepted principles of quality in early childhood education, principles that help children thrive and reach their full potential.

The childcare sector in Ireland faces significant challenges, from staffing shortages to rising costs, yet the commitment of early years educators remains steadfast. These awards shine a light on those who continue to uphold high standards of education and care, inspiring others to follow in their footsteps.

Child Paths’ Giving Back Campaign – Recognition Awards highlight the importance of nurturing environments, strong educator-child relationships, and a family-centred approach in early learning settings. The awards celebrate settings that exemplify these values, ensuring children experience enriched learning environments and meaningful interactions.

By hosting this awards ceremony, Child Paths is not only honouring the individuals and settings that go above and beyond but also reinforcing the importance of high-quality early childhood education for the future success of children across Ireland.
