Cauliflower fries... I'm intrigued!

As a self confesed fussy/plain eater (although I have gotten better over the past few years) I admit that I never eat Cauliflower, even though I probably should.

That's eating it by itself, something that still doesn't appeal to me. I heard one of those Internet rumours years ago that if you dip cauliflower into ketchup it tastes quite like Chicken Nuggets.. I hate ketchup so never found out if there was any truth to it!

Anyway, Green Isle have now launched a range of Cauliflower Bites and I think this is the perfect way to get the goodness of Cauliflower in to me, without having it look up at me from my plate. This is also definitely a good way of 'tricking' the kids into getting more veg into them too. The newest products in the Green Isle range are Cauliflower Bitesand ‘Cauliflower Fries’, when I seen the Cauliflower Fries it really grabbed my attention! They're Vegan friendly, low in sugar and full of nutrients.. definitely need to check these out, I reckon they’re worth the freezer space!

1. Frozen over Fresh:

Green Isle vegetables are carefully selected, picked at their peak and frozen at their freshest before freezing to lock in vitamins, minerals and flavour, containing all the nutrition of fresh vegetables, your easy way to 5 a day.

2. Convenient Time Saver:

Green Isle vegetable range helps you save time preparing meals. Available chopped and sliced, use as much as you need, when you need it, before putting the rest back into the freezer for the next meal.

3. No Food Waste:

A third of all food waste happens in the home and at least 60% of this is avoidable. Stocking up with essentials, including frozen veg, you can enjoy delicious, nutritious meals on a regular basis.

4. Love your freezer:

Good freezer management is all about forward planning, ensuring you have a good range and a variety of foods available no matter what the occasion. Make a list of what’s in your freezer and keep the list nearby. A freezer clear-out every 3 months will ensure you use up everything and nothing goes to waste. Don’t forget the First In/First Out rule, always put newer items to the back of the freezer and bring older ones to the front. Use bags to save space, mark the date and do not overload.
