Boyne Valley Honey, Ireland’s Favourite Honey brand, has been spreading sunshine for generations and is pleased to be the official 2025 Breakfast Partner of Darkness into Light.
Darkness Into Light is the annual fundraising event for Pieta and is proudly supported by Electric Ireland. The event takes place this year on Saturday, May 10th, at venues all around the country and beyond.
In a bid to raise vital funds for Pieta and to encourage consumers to sign up to the Darkness Into Light event, Boyne Valley Honey has launched a limited edition Darkness Into Light pack.

25 cents from the sale of each promotional bottle will be donated to Pieta, and is available in stores across the country in the run up to the all important May 10th event.
It is expected that up to 12,000 participants will descend on the iconic Darkness into Light Phoenix Park venue this year to take part in the most important sunrise of the year. As the sun rises, Boyne Valley Honey will be there to greet participants at their Sunshine Breakfast Bar where they will serve up a delicious, hearty and hot breakfast that will not only warm up
participants but will offer a moment to pause and reflect on why this is such a momentous day,
not only in Ireland, but throughout the world.
This year, Boyne Valley Honey is also bringing the Sunshine Breakfast Bar to the Drogheda Darkness into Light event, a town with huge significance for the brand having been founded there over 65 years ago.
There are over 500 suicides per year in Ireland, 80 per cent of which are male and it is one of the leading causes of death for under 25s. Over 85 of the funding for Pieta’s services comes from community fundraising and donations. The €22 sign up fee for Darkness Into Light can enable Pieta to receive two calls to their 24/7 helpline, providing immediate support and guidance to those in crisis.
