Aldi Ireland’s partnership with Blackwater Distillery goes from strength to strength with yet more wins for Boyle’s Gin at the World Gin Awards 2021.

As Country Winner in the Classic Gin category, Boyle’s Small Batch Botanical Gin now boasts the title of the Best Irish Classic Gin in the World. This is another addition to its trophy cabinet alongside previous Gold Award wins at the World Spirit Awards 2020, Blas Na hÉireann 2019, the Global Gin Masters in both 2018 and again in 2020 and 1 star at the Great Taste Awards 2020!
Created in partnership with Aldi in 2016, Boyle’s Small Batch Botanical Gin immediately won Best Irish Gin at the Irish Whiskey Awards and has been a favourite with Aldi customers ever since.
Very gentle citrus aromas lead to a sharp, bright palate with notes of lemon, orris and liquorice sweetness. Some coriander spice in the finish. There are good classic gin elements shining through. Also at the World Gin Awards 2021, Boyle’s Raspberry Blush Gin won Silver in the Flavoured Gin category and will relaunch in stores from 15th March, also priced just €24.99. First and foremost this is a gin distilled with raspberries, not a liqueur. It’s not sweetened and doesn’t use artificial flavours. The raspberries here are fresh and the juniper is not shy. There’s a spicy middle with lovely tickle of pink peppercorns and a wonderful twist of orange at the finish.
This delicious blush pink gin has also won Gold at the Global Gin Masters 2020 and Silver at Blas Na hÉireann 2019.
