Actor, author, scriptwriter and a woman known for having fun and sharing a joke, Amy Huberman has launched Ah Wines with two carefully crafted wines.

Ah Wines has been many years in the making. The business is led by Amy, alongside Shane Davey, Hugh Murray and Brian Fagan. Ah has partnered with Barry & Fitzwilliam, Ireland op independent wine distributor to help distribute and build Amy’s new brand.

Nearly three years ago over coffee, Amy and Shane were discussing what they both enjoyed when drinking a glass of wine at the weekend, or when friends were over. Both agreed that there were so many products on the shelves it was sometimes difficult to know what to choose.

Amy said: “All you want is a good bottle of wine at a good price that you know you will enjoy. It is that simple.”

Ah Cava Brut Roseì €24.95 and Ah Sauvignon Blanc RRP €17.95.

Ah, is a versatile phrase expressing delight, understanding or eureka moments! Ah Sauvignon Blanc (RRP €17.95), is a beautiful blend specified by Amy with the help of her friends at the vineyard. Light hints of tropical fruits, Apricots and peaches with a long smooth finish.

Ah Cava Brut Rosé (RRP: €24.95) offers subtle notes of red berries. Refreshing and not too sweet, the wine has been chosen by Amy as a Cava she would like to drink with her friends.

Amy and the team at ‘Ah’ have worked with a professional winemaker Covinas to carefully select the best fruit and create wines that align with Ah’s vision. From vineyard to cellar, Amy has been actively involved at every stage ensuring that the wines reflect the highest standards of quality.

Covinas is a cooperative of local farmers who all have vineyards in the heart of the Comunidada Valenciana in Spain. These farmers have tended these vineyards for generations and their extensive knowledge, unwavering dedication and commitment to sustainable practices ensure the preservation of the land for future generations.

Amy as the majority owner in this new venture has been to Valencia on multiple occasions to visit the vineyards and work with the team to ensure that these wines would reflect her commitment to the brand.

Speaking about the launch, Amy Huberman said: “After 3 years of planning and preparation we are so excited to be launching Ah Wines. We wanted to incorporate some fun into the label and the branding, offering an opportunity for people to write on the label and share their messages with/to friends and family. Being a writer I wanted to encourage others to write their sentiments too."

"So if you are going over to your pal’s for dinner and they have great intentions but not the best culinary skills you could write Ah, listen the dinner won’t be great but at least we’ll have a nice bottle of wine! We’ve started the story, it’s over to you to continue and share!”

“We are so excited to have Ah out in the market today. Today is definitely a day to pop open a bottle of Cava bubbles and cheers my colleagues. Ah, listen, join us and we hope you enjoy!”

Speaking about the launch, Hugh Murray with over 30 years of experience in the drinks industry said of these two Ah Sauvignon Blanc and Ah Cava Brut Rosé from AWL: “These are wines we have chosen because we know the Irish consumers will love them.”
