Aldi launches “Mamia & Me” Podcast hosted by Amy Huberman

Award winning actress, best-selling author and now podcast host! Today, (Wednesday June 2nd) Amy Huberman was announced as the host of Aldi’s new podcast series “Mamia & Me”.

Over the next year Amy will host 12 podcast episodes about the big, often terrifying adventures of parenthood. Amy will be chatting with sleep deprived parents, people involved in childcare as well as some really special guest friends! ‘Mamia & Me’ will discuss everything from Lockdown Parenting to Juggling work and parenting, to surrogacy, home births, baby brain, me-time to list but a few. Guests for the first few podcasts will include dad Mark Feehily from Westlife, Suzanne Kane broadcaster and mother of three, who gave birth to her third child in the middle of lockdown and David O’Doherty; best-selling children’s author.

Aldi is looking for people to share their parenting experiences with Amy on the podcast. From the good the bad and everything in between.

Visit www.aldi.ie/mamia to find out more about being part of this podcast. Maybe you’ve got a fool-proof parenting hack…? Or you’re a twin who gave birth to triplets…? Or you became a first-time dad in your sixties…? Aldi would love to hear it all!

The “Mamia & Me” podcast will be the perfect place parents can talk about all the stuff they chat about in the playground, but without having to stop every 30 seconds to shout, “Get down from there it’s too high!”. Parents can have a laugh and maybe learn a tip or two along the way and join in sharing what they’ve learned along the way!

Amy Huberman, host of the ‘Mamia & Me’ commented: “I’m really looking forward to chatting to some great people about their experiences and discussing some really interesting topics over the next 12 months! I might even get some cheat notes for myself along the way! When the Mamia team from Aldi approached me to host, my main concern was could I stay awake long enough to record 12 podcast episodes – hand me a bucket of coffee please. And a comb, if I get that far. But sure I have the perfect look for sound only podcasting right now! We want the podcast to be a safe space, no judgements, and “if you don’t laugh you’ll cry” shared conversation. And if we can, along the way, help some parents out, maybe even making those who feel isolated especially during these very strange times realise that they are not alone, well then that will be a great start!”

Rita Kirwan, Marketing Director at Aldi Ireland said: “We are delighted to partner with Amy on the ‘Mamia & Me’ podcast series. She has such an authentic voice on her own media platforms and has a great way of connecting with people, so we believe that the ‘Mamia & Me’ podcast series will become a real touchpoint for parents across Ireland. Whether they listen to it on daily walks, or while trying to get their baby to sleep at night, we hope it brings some laughs and relatable shared tips.”

Aldi’s Mamia brand was voted Ireland’s favourite baby range, winning 22 awards at the National Parenting Product Awards and is available in all 145 Aldi stores nationwide, providing parents with everything from nappies, baby wipes, baby food and more.To date Aldi have donated more than 50,000 Mamia nappies to Ireland’s maternity hospitals.

The Mamia & Me podcast, hosted by Amy Huberman, will be available on Spotify, Google Play, SoundCloud and iTunes from Monday June 7th. The 12 episode series is produced by Happy Feckers Agency.

Slán go fóill,

Danny
